We aim to provide for
a smooth transition from home to school and thereafter establish a full partnership with
our parent community.
We aim to foster
habits and attitudes of co-operation, sharing and consideration and reinforce these with a
clear system of rewards and consequences
Children will be
taught to be patient, diligent and self reliant in their learning and to take a pride in
achievement.
We
aim to teach to the needs of the individual child and at an early stage to recognise and
address individual needs.
We
aim to introduce children to the simple rules and conventions that emphasise safety and
consideration of others and care of and pride in the school environment.
We aim to
provide opportunities through sport and social contact for our children to represent the
school and feel pride in so doing.
We aim to
deliver the requirements of the National Curriculum in a clear and systematic way and
provide open access to children and their parents.
We aim for our
children to value learning and to welcome the many opportunities that this provides.
In
competition the child will be encouraged to TRY, not just for the glory of success, but to
compete for the joy of participation.
We
seek to be outward looking, the child will learn to appreciate that he is a member not
only of the school situation, but also of the wider community.
