The level Working Towards indicates a child who has not attained a measurable level and will need specific help to progress to his/her potential.

We expect every child at the age of seven to attain level 2 in English and Mathematics. However we understand that children progress at different rates and therefore we plan according the needs of the individual child and differentiate work accordingly.

Percentages can sometimes be misleading in small schools, therefore it should be noted that in 2004, 1 child = 7%

We expect every child to be literate and numerate by the age of eleven, therefore we heed the Government’s recommendation that each child should attain a level 4 in the three core subjects. We acknowledge that children progress at different rates and we accommodate that factor into our planning, differentiating work for the more able and less able child.
