Deborah Jones

My name is Deborah Jones. I teach the Year 3 / 4 class. I am married with two daughters and a very spoilt cat! I live in Treorchy. I decided to go into teaching after helping at my children’s school. I have taught at various schools in Rhondda Cynon Taff and have been at Abernant for 4 years.

I run the drama club, which is open to all the junior children. We perform short dramas and improvisations and at the end of the year we perform a play for parents.

This is available to children from Year 2 to 6. They work towards the BAYS Science Awards of First Investigator, Bronze ABC, Silver or Gold. Last year we won the Science Challenge competition at ‘@Bristol’ performing a drama, completing an investigation and the final quiz round.
