I'am Mrs Furnival, I have worked at Abernant Primary School for 12 years now, starting in the nursery / reception class, which then also housed year 1. For the past few years I have been responsible for teaching years 1 and year 2.

I am married to Mark and we have 2 children, Charlotte (19) and Christian (8). We live in Newbridge, which is about a half hours drive from Abernant. The children I teach / have taught never ceased to amaze me, what is even more amazing is that I now seem to be teaching the children of my former pupils !!!

My responsibilities in Abernant Primary are varied, I am Head of the Infant Department but also responsible for the following curriculum areas, English, Geography and Assessment. When I’m not in school I enjoy reading, going to the cinema and bowling with my son Christian. His dad is such a cheat!

We have lots of fun in our clubs in Abernant and I help to supervise our very successful Science club.

When in school I can usually be found in our mobile classroom in the infant yard, all I need now is a kettle and a fridge to be totally self-sufficient!!!!
