We are extremely proud of our ICT developments at Coedpemaen. The children are having real and exciting opportunities to learn and develop ICT skills.
Using 2 Simple they have been designing their own calenders showing the four seasons, making castle wrapping paper and drawing pictures to show their feelings. They have been using the wide range of graphic tools available.

Through the topic View through a Window they have been studying Pontypridd. They have used the art package in 2 Simple to draw images of the local town which they will be using for their 2010 calenders. They have been learning how to change font, sizing and paragraphing using 2 Simple and Microsoft Word. They have designed posters for the Fireworks display and have written their own questionnaire to ask family members about Pontypridd.
William Morris was born on the 24
th
March 1834 in England. He was a famous Victorian artist and poet.William Morris was one of the most influential voices in Victorian art and architecture. He made lots of tiles with his creations. The first ever tiles he made were for the red house.
William did repeated patterns in his art, his pictures were inspired by nature.
Upper KS2 have produced articles on artsist William Morris from their internet based research. They have gone on to produce their own wallpaper samples using Granada colours. We are very proud of them, what do you think?
