Cultural Services

What do we do?
We work with many diverse partners to provide, facilitate
and support opportunities to take part in and enjoy
a broad range of arts events and activities. Our
service enhances the health and well-being of individuals
of all ages and their communities and contributes
to the overall social and economic regeneration of
the area.
What have we achieved?

Established
Writers Squads, for Year 6 pupils gifted in Creative
Writing |

Diversions,
the Dance Company of Wales, visited the Coliseum
Theatre, Aberdare, following a series of workshops
with local schools |

Youth
Excellence Award for Just Desserts, a youth theatre
project |
 |
High
profile concerts in our theatres, including Three
Other Tenors, Welsh National Opera, Gorky’s
Zygotic Mynci and Mike Peters. |

Member
of staff completed British Sign Language Level
1, studying for Level 2. |

The “All
Lit Up” project began, benefiting young people
in the looked-after system |

Cwmni
Mega performed Welsh language pantomime at the
Muni Arts Centre. |
