What have we achieved?

	Opened two Community Learning Centres at Treherbert and Rhydyfelin libraries, providing informal courses through the medium of ICT, in partnership with local organisations and the New Opportunities Fund
	Became the first Welsh public library authority to launch the Peoples Network( free access to 126 multimedia PCs, the internet and broadband)
	Provided 3 new mobile libraries
	Developed a fruitful partnership between libraries, museums and the Glamorgan Record Office to promote and share expertise on local studies
	Obtained external funding through the Friends of Nantgarw Chinaworks to repair and consolidate one of the kilns
	Established a successful series of artist residencies at Cynon Valley Museum and Gallery in partnership with Arts Development and Artswork Wales
	Obtained full registered status under the Museums Registration Scheme (RE:SOURCE) for Cynon Valley Museum
	Earmarked funding to refurbish and upgrade the Energy Zone at Rhondda Heritage Park
