Libraries & Museums

What do we do?
Our public library and museum services actively co-operate
with partners to contribute to social, economic,
educational and cultural development, and above all
to improve the quality of life and enjoyment for
people in our communities.
What have we achieved?
What do our Service Users
think?
“The promotion of Rhydyfelin Library as a
centre for lifelong learning is fully deserved and
is a credit not only to Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough
Council but also to the high quality staff who work
at the library. I sincerely hope that the library within
the community will go from strength to strength”.
M.J. Crowley, Pontypridd
“We went to the museum and it was great. We met
the artist and made some prints. We then had a great
lunch
and made some more prints”
Pupil attending residency at Cynon Valley Museum and
Gallery
“Thank you for showing us around your museum
(Nantgarw). I liked learning about the pottery and
especially the
bottle kilns – I also liked the potting.”
Pupil from Llanilltud Faerdref Primary School
