Self Evaluation Grid

Fed up of working every Sunday on your lesson plans? Yes? Then this site may be the answer to your prayers!

Ruth Merttens plus her Hamilton team have created the Hamilton plans 'with no other agenda than saving teachers’ time and effort. They are a starting and not an end point – and will need to be adapted by class teachers to suit the requirements of their specific context. To download the plans, just select the type (literacy or maths), the year and the term and you will then be able to see the available plans and also the accompanying resources.  The medium term plans refer to the resources required for each week, and also indicate if preparation is required for the following week, such as a longer story needing to be read or started in advance. The weekly plans provide teaching strategies and differentiated activities as well as giving ideas for the plenary and relating the content directly to the NLS or NNS objectives.'

The New Abacus Teacher Cards are now available for reference as downloadable PDF files. For each half-term the relevant Teacher Cards are available. To access the Teacher Cards for a particular week click on the links below.

Springboard 5
is for use in Year 5. It is intended specifically for children who, without extra help, are likely to achieve a level 3 in mathematics at the end of Key Stage 2.

Springboard 6 is designed for use during the Spring term of Year 6. The series of lessons are designed to provide additional support in booster classes for children in Year 6 who, with intensive targeted support, can achieve level 4 in the Key Stage 2 SATs.
