The purpose of the Division is to raise standards
of achievement and attainment and to ensure the highest
quality of educational experience for all people in
our communities.
We carry out the duties of the LEA in respect of the
relevant Education Acts and we deliver the Council’s
Education Strategic Plan. We provide a range of services
to schools, governing bodies and communities. These
provide a coherent programme which monitors and challenges
standards and helps to create conditions for effective
learning.
