School Improvement
Remarkable educational achievements have been celebrated in Rhondda Cynon Taf in the last twelve months. The recently established School Support Service has delivered, with its schools, the advisory service and its wider partners, a range of positive outcomes in areas as diverse as school improvement, access and inclusion, welfare and the arts.
Cost-effective support and challenge for our schools is achieved through the deployment of innovative partnership between our school improvement team and the advisory service shared with three neighbouring councils. This has meant we are able to mine a rich vein of talent which would not have been accessible if we worked alone.
Partnership with funding bodies like the Welsh Assembly Government, the Basic Skills Agency and the Arts Council of Wales has meant that we have been able to pursue a wide range of activities to target essential developments in our improvement agenda.
Cyflwyniad i’r Wefan
Mae arolygon yn dangos bod disgyblion yn Rhondda Cynon Taf wedi cael canlyniadau da yn ystod y flwyddyn academaidd 2004-2005. Mae carfanau Gwasanaeth Materion Effeithiolrwydd yr Ysgolion, mewn partneriaeth ag ysgolion Rhondda Cynon Taf,gwasanaeth ymgynghorol a phartneriaid o gylch ehangach, wedi sicrhau canlyniadau cadarnhaol mewn sawl maes ar fywyd ysgol, megis cynnydd, cymdeithas cynhwysol, lles a’r celfyddydau.
O ganlyniad i’r bartneriaeth rhwng carfan materion gwella’r ysgolion a’r gwasanaeth ymgynghorol sy’n cael ei rannu rhyngon ni a thri chyngor cyfagos, mae’r ysgolion yn cael cefnogaeth a her am bris teg. Mae hyn yn golygu ein bod ni’n medru dod o hyd i wythïen o ddoniau. Fyddai hynny ddim wedi bod yn bosibl petaen ni wedi gweithio ar ein pennau’n hunain.
Trwy ffurfio partneriaeth gyda chyrff ariannu megis Llywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru, Asiantaeth Medrau Sylfaenol a Chyngor Celfyddydau Cymru, rydyn ni wedi llwyddo i fynd ar ôl nifer helaeth o weithgareddau er mwyn targedu datblygiadau angenrheidiol yn ein rhaglen ar gyfer gwelliannau.
